Jordan Dakota my 14 month old daughter is a happy, sweet natured baby- always has a smile on her face. She is a little reserved on a first meeting but within a few mimutes she warms up to people, she is curious, loves books and taking things out of bags and boxes. She is a low maintainence baby and hardly cries. She is fun and brings joy to all who meet her. Jordan was born with a rare birth defect called Amniotic band syndrome. While growing sticky bands formed in the amniotic fluid, the bands attached to her hands and one leg. They can cause total amputation of limbs or digits, also severe clubbed feet is a secondary part of this horrid birth defect. Jordans rt hand has 2 missing tips on her pointer and middle finger. She had surgery as the fingers were also conjoined. On the other hand she was maimed pretty good and will need futher surgery to correct this. Her feet were severly clubbed and she has had 3 surgeries to correct this. Because she had been in casts for at least 10 months of her life she is not yet walking , but trying real hard. Jordan's birth defect is considered mild as the bands can also go inside the baby and cause all kinds of havoc. This was unknown until she was born. Ultra sounds and the regular tests do not pick this up. She is fully functional she has full use of her hands. I Consider her a little miracle. I know she will do well as she has such a great personality and has the face of an angel. Looking for

I would like to find a playmate for Jordan. Her brother is too old and even though they adore each other the age difference is to far apart. She is at the age where she needs to start being with a little friend. Since Jordan is on the laid back side, she would probably do well with another child with the same personality type. I tryed a play group and it was too overwhelming for Jordan. One or two little people her age or even older would probably bring out her best. If by chance I find a friend too that would be great. Most moms are younger than myself but I generally get along with most people.
